Mugs + Bugs
We make hand-crafted ceramic earrings that add a grounding touch to your accessories collection.
Mugs & Bugs was born through our love of creating, working with our hands, and an appreciation of the beauty of the natural world. Each of our fired ceramics are handmade in small batches in our home studio near Los Angeles, CA and we absolutely love sharing our work with our local and broader communities.
There is something so grounding about working with clay from the Earth, and we see our work as an act of resistance in our fast-paced, product-driven society. We pride ourselves on taking the time and care needed to create something truly beautiful and unique, and when we see folks wearing our earrings, we know that intention makes all the difference in our customers’ experience. We pride ourselves on keeping our designs as natural as possible, highlighting the texture of the clay body and firing everything twice to ensure optimal strength. We use clean and ethically sourced bronze hardware for our jewelry that is gentle on the most sensitive of skin. Click here to learn more about our process and suppliers.
It’s our hope that when you wear our earrings, you feel the love with which they were created, and can feel confident in knowing you’ve made a purchase that promotes ethical and sustainable working practices, all while expressing yourself!
Brianna Morrow
Simi Valley, CA | Owner of Mugs + Bugs.
I started Mugs + Bugs with my husband two years ago after I started making ceramic earrings in our home studio. We bonded over our love of art, activism, and living a slow, intentional life. As two introverted, neurodivergent artists, we have created a business that showcases our unique strengths, and allows us to live in alignment with our values and capacities. When we aren’t working, you can find us enjoying all kinds of food, watching (and then endlessly quoting) movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Thank you for being here and for supporting our small business!
