Accompanied by shepherds and farm animals, the Holy Family receives the visit of the three Wise Men, regarded as kings. From right to left, the first king bears a stool throne as symbol of Jesus' majesty, the second king proffers a gourd filled with gold, and the third king brings a state sword for oath-swearing. The gentleman bearing a staff with a star is the spokesperson for the kings. Nedjoh carves each ofram wood piece by hand with sublime detail to create a moving and endearing scene."

"What really inspires me to work is that anytime I see a carving, I feel happy and it motives me to work harder. The greatest challenge I have encountered is dealing with people who try to copy my work. But I realize that I am a competent carver and it is very difficult for others to replicate my work."

"I'm Thomas Kumah Nedjoh, from the Volta Region, and I did my training with master carver Mr. Kofi, who passed away in 2006. I did my apprenticeship with him in the 1980s and by 1986, I was working on my own. This afforded me the freedom to develop different techniques and styles.
