"I was born in 1973 in the district of Macate in Ancash. My parents were engaged in agriculture. I consider myself a very creative man, and very enterprising - I always want to be doing things, to go forward and never to stay behind. I'm very active and sociable. I trained a lot, in study centers like the Chamber of Foreign Trade of Lima and taking courses in Adex, all with a lot of practice and perseverance.
"One of my dreams is to continue growing as a textile artist, to be recognized not only locally but at the international level, and to give a better quality of life to my family. I love my art because it allows me to be very versatile in the design, the colors, and the textures to create each piece. I thank God who gave me this gift because today, I can say that I live what I really love. The road hasn't been easy, but it is worth it in every way.
"What I want to convey through my art is all my knowledge and practice that are reflected every time I finish a piece of apparel or an accessory, and I feel totally proud of the final result. I am currently a totally happy person, since very few people in this world dedicate themselves to something they really love, as I do. For me, this work means everything. I love and appreciate being able to move my family forward thanks to this."

"The greatest challenge I've ever faced was getting my family to understand my passion for textiles. I was born in the Macate district of the Ancash department and my parents worked in the fields. My artistic origins come from my family — my uncles worked in textiles and, little by little, they introduced me to this world. I love being part of this world, where I can translate materials into beautiful, wearable designs.
"Getting started was difficult and my family didn't think I would make it, yet slowly but surely, I managed to prove them wrong. If you truly want something in life, you will do all that is within your means to get it.
"I've achieved every goal I have set for myself and, in this way, I have discovered new and wonderful techniques within this grand art form.
"As for hobbies, I enjoy playing soccer and, of course, everything related to the textile arts since I like playing with colors, fabrics and textures."

Tomasz I purchased the hat as a bday gift for my sister and she subsequently lost it, she loved the hat so much though that i had to sign up on the wait list to reorder it. She is very particular in her tastes so having to reorder it speaks volumes. She still reminisces about it from time to time, i can't wait to surprise her.

Lydia stunning colors, lovely soft fabric, excellent craftsmanship. exactly as pictured, yet even nicer in real life. since i have long arms, i am thrilled that the arm length is longer than standard, just as others have described. i might have been mildly surprised by the lightweight gauge if i hadn't been forewarned; i'd also love this sweater in a heavier weight. i was pleasantly surprised at the quick delivery, despite covid &c -- i received the package (in MA) a mere 2 weeks after ordering. and although i thought i'd checked the not-a-gift box, it was beautifully gift-wrapped.

Well made. Not a worry for easy pull or thread exposure. Colors are vibrant and have not leaked with delicate washing. Normally I'm sensitive to animal fibers, but this weave is fine enough to he non irritating but strong enough to be warm and study. Bought in another color! Highly recommend.

I wanted a thinner yet still warm winter hat that would go with different coats/jackets and this one fills the bill perfectly. This alpaca hat is stylishly cute and colorful. The fabric is soft and lightweight but warm. The hat is so colorful it will coordinate/blend with many other colors (blue, purple, black) but especially my red and crimson/burgundy coats & jackets.

I love this sweater! It is a beautiful design and color. The size large is roomy and comfortable without appearing baggy. It is chilly in Alaska, so I usually wear a wool turtleneck underneath the cardigan. aI have another alpaca sweater, as well as alpaca socks and they all are super soft and keep be very warm. For days when you are in a hurry and don't have time to worry about what to wear under something, this sweater is great. You only need this one piece and it stands alone and looks great without a lot of work. The colors are beautiful and coordinate well with jeans, navy, ivory, gray pants and more. I wear this sweater with an ivory turtleneck as well as a white collared shirt and both look great. The design itself is sharp; I get positive comments. The collar lays flat in a really nice way, which I wish was more common. It was also light and warm, as you'd expect for alpaca.I'll be wearing this a lot.One thing to understand about this sweater is that it's a bit of a square/boxy design. If you're a slim fit there will be slight bunching under the arms, and the turtleneck will slope in when zipped rather than conforming closely. The former isn't that serious, and some people may like the latter. I usually go for raglan sleeve designs instead, but I'm absolutely keeping this and will wear it happily.

I own another Fernando Cano sweater that has the same style and weave pattern as this, but these colors are more muted, which I really like. The designer's selection of colors is terrific and hangs together to create a beautiful, subdued sweater. And the zip collar, which I wasn't sure about, is handy on those winter days when the wind finds it's way in through my coat collar. A little extra warmth and protection when needed.

The colors and workmanship of this sweater are just lovely. The reason I give it less than 5 stars is because of the shape and fit. Neckline is odd and higher in the front than it is in the back and sort of pushes my throat and is scratchy. Also the armholes are small. Sleeves themselves are comfortable, but not enough room in the armholes. I am 5'6", 134 lbs. I ordered a medium. I think the large would be too big. Overall the Med is a good fit except the tight armholes. If you have small shoulders and slender arms, this sweater would fit perfectly.
