Ruth Henriquez This is a beautifully made shawl. As a floor-loom weaver, I appreciate hand-made textiles, and this piece was clearly woven by an accomplished fiber artist. The weave is firm enough to make a sturdy fabric, but it also has a lovely drape. The colors are gorgeous. And, even though it's cotton, it's heavy enough to keep me warm here in Northern Minnesota in winter. This is a piece that I will have for a very long time and which will age well.
