About this item

A funky and fun flower pin that might bite you! This is hand sculpted and no molds were used, so each one of these are a unique one of a kind piece. The construction of this pin is quite time consuming and requires multiple bakes. First I construct the teeth, bake them and then I construct the mouth and gums, insert the fangs and teeth and bake again. Then the tongue is made and attached and baked again. Please notice the tiny glass ball on the tip of the tongue! Finally the flower is constructed and all parts put together and baked, and finally the pin is attached to the back for the final bake.

This can be worn on a jacket, sweater or a shirt. It makes an eye catching statement piece for those who enjoy unusual and wearable art.

I first discovered polymer clay over 30 years ago. Polymer clay is a soft plastic clay that can be formed into just about anything. When you’ve finished your piece it is baked in an oven at low temperatures and this cures it into a hard but somewhat flexible piece.

When I first discovered polymer clay 30 years ago I made a few things and then lost interest. Fast forward to 10 years ago when I rediscovered it and boy oh boy did I ever get hooked. It is the perfect medium to create amazing pieces.

A typical happy day for me is spent in my shop creating beautiful things!

Sharon Jonesy DeVore Polymer Clay creations made with love!

Everything in my store is made from polymer clay, a very versatile medium that can be made into many different creations. I make many different styles of jewelry and my favorite is making scenic landscape earrings where each earring is a tiny scene. I also make polymer clay paintings that are made entirely of polymer clay, no paint is used. The “paintings” are made on picture frame glass and baked right on the glass. These paintings take a few weeks to create, I use tiny tools to create the scenery, and blend and texture the surface.

I first discovered polymer clay over 30 years ago. I lost interest and didn't rediscover it until almost 10 years ago after I retired. I was captivated! This medium has so many endless possibilities. I've made jewelry, bowls, nightlights, and my personal favorite is "painting " where landscape scenery is created entirely of polymer clay. I now make landscape scenery paintings, earrings, and pendants. My scenery paintings may take a month to create because of the intricate details.
