Sarah Lawhorne is an award-winning photographer and author who works with analogue and alternative photographic processes to create unique photo-based artwork with a touch of Zen. From prints to books, cards and stationery, each piece is created from high quality archival or handmade papers, and nothing goes to waste. Sarah works with old school film cameras to capture unique imagery, then uses the negatives to create prints, cyanotypes, anthotypes, and solar plate etchings using pure sunlight and chemistry.

It's so nice to meet you! I am a photographer, poet, and author who believes in the beauty of the everyday and the power of tranquility. My work explores concepts of Zen philosophy, the art of noticing, and the interconnectedness of us all. My photographic work has been featured in galleries around southern New England, my poetry has been published by several national and international journals, and in 2024 I self published my first full-length book, with more to come.
