Pooja Kathuria original watercolor and acrylic paintings

Handmade: A Global Artisan Marketplace IN
“My name is Pooja Kathuria. I am an artist, born and brought up in New Delhi. I have a bachelors degree in Commerce and a diploma in Commercial Arts. After I completed my education, I worked in a private print media company for many years before I started as an independent artist. My friends say that viewing my dynamic works of art is an exciting experience similar to viewing hues through a kaleidoscope.
“The best thing about my paintings is their exclusivity. All of them are rich in their own way. My mentor and guide Mr. Sunil Jaiswal, has helped me polish my skills and gain poise in my own work. I keep on practicing to improve and enhance my skills.
“I like to express myself in the form of colors on canvas and I am best at the art of transforming paintings into flowing verses. I generally do a series of an idea, thought or emotion. My paintings are an exploration of numerous detailed and delicate expressions. Painted stroke by stroke and layer by layer, my paintings are an articulation of the harmony I see in nature and the universe.
“Working with acrylic paints, oil paints, pastes, inks and watercolors, I employ a bold color palette and fluid style that captures my inner world. With the passage of time, techniques of my artistic expression have undergone evolution and I have become more perceptive, poignant and intense.
“My inspiration is the nature around us. Executing a painting makes me feel connected with nature. Also, Krishna, the eternal enigma, and his blue vastness are my all-time inspiration. I am trying to impart my knowledge about this art and craft to people interested in this field of art around me.
“I have participated in many private exhibitions and in AIFACS (All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society).”
