Hi, I’m Anette, the designer behind MissUpcycled. My jewelry tutorials are featured in Bead & Button Magazine publications, including Wirework and Wire Jewelry Start to Finish. My style is eclectic. I explore mediums like wirework, metalsmithing, stamping, and working with recycled materials. Constantly learning and evolving, I love experimenting with raw metals, crystals, and glass beads to grow my craft.
Origin Story
My creative journey began in Fruita, Colorado, where I fell in love with upcycling amongst a community of local musicians and artists. I started by upcycling thrift store finds into unique art, making quirky wind chimes, flowers made of neckties, fabric, and zippers, and incorporating discarded jewelry and various other findings into my wirework. Soon, I was consigning locally at The Vintage Common. In those early years, my design tutorials were even featured in publications like Bead & Button Magazine, including Wirework and Wire Jewelry Start to Finish. While my craft has evolved over the years, my core philosophy has never changed. Every piece is made with that original love for the unique and unexpected.
