I am a British American living in the Ozarks in SW Missouri. I emigrated in 2009 and love the life here. In 2014 I went to England for my eldest daughter's wedding. I gave her away; it was one of the very best days of my life.

While I was in the UK, I had a dream about a little girl wearing a rainbow, tattered dress, it was so clear, so vivid that the image has remained with me since. This picture kept popping into my mind, so I decided that when I came home, I was going to play with some ideas with clothing. I have always liked clothes that are different and don't often find mainstream items I enjoy wearing.

I had a mid-length red cotton dress; I added some colored fabric into the skirt by making cuts in the skirt section. I included a sparkly top and a cute belt and simply loved wearing this dress. Everywhere I went women asked me where I had purchased it. It started there and I haven't looked back. So, in January 2015 I started selling on Etsy. At the time I was volunteering at a large thrift store and clothes and fabrics came in that were not sellable, so I was able to acquire a large collection of fabrics to use in my dresses. I didn't start with the intention of making wedding dresses, but many women bought them for their special day. Since then, I have made over 600 dresses which have sold around the world.
