Handmade: A Global Artisan Marketplace ID
My name is Joel Mangundirjo and I was born in Central Java on March 12, 1965. I learned how to paint while I was still a child, starting by entering a painting competition for children and adults in my hometown. I always won first place.
After graduating from high school, I spent most of the time working and have not had much time for painting. However, if there is a change and I have time, I want to.
After I married a beautiful Balinese woman and we had two children, I decided to move to Bali. Here I made friends who are also painters. They mentioned that Novica helps artists and artisans promote their work on an international level. So, I traveled for almost three hours by motorbike with my paintings rolled on my back, all the way from my home to their office. There is a hope inside me that Novica will be able to promote and sell my paintings.
