"Sawasdee kha. I am Chanikan Rujanawate but you can call me Kae as well. I was born on May 24, 1974. I graduated from college with a degree in communications, specializing in journalism. But I never worked in my field. I worked in sales for many years. I have always admired Thai arts so my boyfriend, Tanachai Ekuruchaitep [a Novica featured artist] taught me how to craft a variety of items.
"My specialty is the design of wall clocks, which I decorate with silk-screened motifs of flowers and elephants, two of Thailand's most renowned symbols. I first began printmaking on tee-shirts.
"Look at my designs. If they satisfy your taste, they can be yours. Meanwhile, I'll be working on new designs with Thai themes."
The talented artist is also an accomplished painter.
