Over the course of her creative life, Erika has developed a unique bicultural aesthetic as a half Japanese, half British-American woman, that she embraces in her work as both an artist and designer. Erika has always been fascinated by the Japanese and English sensibilities as they relate to chinaware, and in particular, the crossover of the two aesthetics through Imari porcelain. The rich colors, unlikely color combinations, intricate patterns, use of gold and silver, and beautiful composition of each plate influence the design and uniqueness of each piece of eclectiQuas jewelry.
