Rathaphat

Bio

"Hey! My name is Rathaphat, I was born and raised in the northern part of Chiang Mai. I grew up in the villages, immersed in my parents buy-and-sell business. After finishing high school, I began selling used clothing at a flea market near Chiang Mai. But because I couldnt lift things, I stopped selling and began selling online.

"My ex-husband and I have one daughter together. His family has been making traditional clothing for over 40 years, and they have taught me every step of the way. For eight years, I assisted them in selling clothing at a night market in Chiang Mai and learning to tailor.

"I learned by trial and error, and I like to use a cotton fabric called Chinmai which is a mix of big and small yarns. It washes well and does not shrink. Im picky, but I need my products to be flawless when they arrive at their destinations. Every piece of my work is important to me. I like to create clothes that I want to wear, and my work appeals to people who want something simple with earth tones.

"I am grateful to NOVICA for providing me with this opportunity because I want to be able to provide for my daughter and myself. I hope you enjoy my clothes and come back. Thank you incredibly much."
