SOLD OUT - 1958 Mexican Peso Necklace, Handmade Coin Pendant, Vintage Mexico Currency Jewelry Item ID: 2677008854

This is not a tiny delicate little piece. It has some presence without being over the top and layers especially well with other jewelry. I love pieces like this because they feel personal right away…like something picked up while traveling decades ago and kept ever since. Finished with an adjustable chain in silver finish. Handmade in my home studio.
I soldered this vintage 1958 Mexican peso coin into a handcrafted silver finish setting and left both sides visible because honestly…the details on this old coin deserve to be seen. The portrait side has such strong graphic lines and the eagle side feels equally bold. It has that collected over time, slightly mysterious feel that old coins always seem to carry with them.

Welcome to Bayou Glass Arts™. A little about me… most folks would say I am outgoing, speak before thinking, interrupt occasionally (okay, a lot) am passionate and quirky. The good and the bad. I love coming up with new ideas in jewelry. Especially the kind that make people stop, point, and say, “Wait… what is that exactly?” Those are my favorite moments… when something that was never meant to be jewelry suddenly becomes wearable and sparks a conversation.
I began making glass jewelry at my dining room table in 2009. Since then, it has wandered its way into boutiques, galleries, magazines, and homes across the country and beyond. I am a self taught jewelry artisan who is endlessly curious and forever chasing new ideas. From the first flicker of a thought to the moment it becomes real, that whole journey is what I love. Jewelry just happens to be how those ideas show up in the world.
Every piece of Bayou Glass Arts jewelry is one of a kind and designed and handmade in my home studio. Most pieces begin with real glass, much of which I cut and shape by hand, then frame using a soft solder technique made from tin, copper, and silver. Along the way I work with pressed flowers, dandelion seeds, gemstones, vintage finds, old piano keys, bits of china, and whatever small treasure catches my eye that day.
Whether you are here looking for a meaningful gift or something special for yourself, I am glad you found your way here. Orders ship quickly and are packaged thoughtfully and securely so they arrive safe and sound.
Thank you so much for supporting handmade and for considering my work… it truly means a lot.

I absolutely LOVE this necklace! I ordered the wish necklace in gunmetal, and I couldn't be happier. Even better, I received my necklace within 5 days of ordering. I wouldn't hesitate to order from this artisan again!

Wow, what a beautiful pendant! My college daughter has a really cool style and she absolutely loved this gift. Plus she's always been a fan of sunflowers. The quality and presentation were so nice too!
