"Glowing in the night, golden lotus blossoms reveal elegant textures. Saisunee portrays the flowers in different stages of development. Some are buds while some are full-blown and beginning to fade. Buddha taught that all living creatures exist within the cycle of life - birth, age, death - but a wholesome existence guided by proper understanding, contemplation and concentration releases one."

"My name is Saisunee Supina, or 'Nan.' I was born in Chiang Mai in 1983 and studied printing at the Rajamangala University of Technology in Lanna, Chiang Mai.
"When I was in school, I had numerous opportunities to exhibit my work, which is why I continue to like creating artwork. I've done this since 1997.
"I collaborated with Royal Flora Ratchaphruek in Chiang Mai and with several hotels, spas, and cafes in Thailand and overseas, creating canvas art and pillar paintings.
"Inspiration for my work comes from natural movements, such as the rhythm of plants, trees, or leaves, and I blend it with my experience in the arts, Thai cultures, and Buddhism. I want everybody who sees these pieces to touch them and be impressed by Thai art.
"I'm still learning new techniques and putting what I've learned into practice at work, and I hope everyone enjoys it. Thank you kindly."
