"Hello, my name is Shanker and I come from a farming background. I studied up to 10th grade and, as a family tradition, I was expected to work along with my parents. During those days, my maternal uncle was working with a jeweler. I was always fascinated by the fancy jewelry he designed. Eventually, I quit farming and started my own small workshop.
"I started designing and crafting sterling silver jewelry and slowly, with the help of family and friends, I was able to establish myself in the field. Initially, I had to face a lot of problems as people in my village like only gold, because it offers a return value. Silver is not popular.
"So with the help of my uncle, I set up my own workshop in the city. Today, I have achieved a lot in terms of design, quality and appreciation. I have also participated in various exhibitions. I am immensely honored to showcase my designs for you. My jewelry can now be seen worldwide and I feel my greatest challenge is to fulfill your highest expectations."

Very beautiful piece, the recipient loved it! The piece that was sent to me looks slightly different from the one here. The outside "stroke" doesn't have the negative /empty space between it and the pearl. The back on the piece sent is all a solid cast. The quality and beauty of these earrings is incredible, especially for the price. I bought the turquoise and citrine style. The weight of the silver makes them feel substantial, not cheap at all. Also, the gold veins in the turquoise is gorgeous! I bought another pair for my sister as soon as I received these. You will not be disappointed!

This bracelet is beautiful , the pictures don't do it justice! I love the way the silver and stones flow together. I made a good choice with this ring. The inflammation in my fingers from RA made wearing any of my old jewelry impossible. I saw this ring and really liked it. This beautiful necklace was a Mother’s Day gift for my mother-in-law. She absolutely loved it and said that she was going to bring it with her on an upcoming trip. These are beautiful, simple ear rings that go well with so many things. I wear pearls a lot, and these are my go-to ear rings.I have sadly lost one ear ring now for the second time due to mask rubber bands catching on the ear ring when I am removing the mask in a hurry. I have bought a second pair of the ear rings and lost another one (!), but that was OK because I had a spare. Now I have lost it again!!! So sad. I am buying a third set because I love them so much. Gave this to my daughter for her 21st Bday. It could not have been more perfect. This is an absolutely stunning piece. Perfectly sized and beautifully crafted. I wanted something with turquoise (her birthstone), but not the usual stuff that is generally offered. She is also an astrobiology major, so the representation of earth and stars was ideal. She wears it all the time and people continuously stop her to look at and compliment it.

This pendant is a perfect statement piece. There is enough detail in the coil and between the two stones that this necklace can stand on its own. I have use this pendant on different chains to either shorten or lengthen the necklace, and it looks fabulous no matter how I wear it. The stones have a very rich color and did not look damaged or chipped. The silver was perfectly polished. Looks great with other citrine or lapis jewelry. I would highly recommend this product and the artist.

This bracelet is beautiful, delicate, and I hope long wearing as I have it on 24 hours a day. I eagerly awaited it's arrival & it got here early. My husband picked it up so when I awoke it was already there. It was a late birthday present & I was surprised when he presented it to me. I was a bit surprised that it was so small. But, it looks good on & I figured it was my fault for not checking the dimensions carefully. What was a little disappointing was the fact it is more cream colored w/a few highlights of color. There is not any lilac that my husband & I can see. And the amethyst are more purple than blue, although I like the lilac in them. It does say in the description of the bracelet that the color would vary and I expected some difference in shade. I did however anticipate the color to be @ least purplish which it is not. The sparkle is eye catching that's one of the main reasons I miss lilac.

I ordered these earrings for the gemstone and the style. They are beautiful, sort of like an orange-reddish color. The style is unique, something not really found in a typical jewelry store or a department store that sells jewelry. I have been into studying gemstones lately and have started wearing them for their properties. This stone is said to help with courage, positive life choices, and helps motivate one for success, among other traits. And they are just beautiful. The size is very nice, just right, not too big and definitely noticeable. Since we are in a pandemic at the time of this writing, I don't tend to wear my nice jewelry outside; I know I would get compliments on this pair of earrings if I decided to.

I'm almost embarrassed to say (but not too embarrassed!!) :-), this is my 4th bracelet made by Shanker! While the styles are all similar, the stones are very different. They are sized large enough to wear above my not so small watch, or you can clasp it smaller to fit your wrist size. The is the first one that is all one color, and the photo does not do it justice. He has an amazing eye for detail. I'm sure there will be a 5th!!

The color variations in the stones combined with the silver is distracting! I find myself looking at it all day while I'm working! :-)the stones, settings and links are perfect size, not delicate but not at all bulky. I also appreciate the multiple links for the clasp, this means I can make it just the size I want.Definitely a favorite, I love the design and the colors (I can wear any color earrings or necklaces with it).Thank you!!

I was seeking a very special piece of jewelry for a special occasion, the Christening of my nephew's fiance so she can marry at our church. I was honored to be chosen as her God Mother and I wanted to find a very special crucifix to give her for the ceremony that matched her personality. She is very earthy, and wasn't brought up religious and therefore, I wanted something that she would cherish and a symbol of her new-found spirituality. The beautiful cross that I found with the different jewels was exactly what I was looking for and befitting her personality. When it arrived I was stunned since it was even better than I expected and each different jewel sparkled with unspoken meaning. The sterling silver chain is exactly the added touch to hang perfectly at the hollow of her neck. I think this cross and chain makes a perfect set. The chain does hang right at your throat but after I tried it, I decided it was the right place for it because you can see the cross no matter what you're wearing.The cross is a nice size, not too large. The workmanship is top notch.I am very pleased with this purchase and plan to wear it often. I think this is a lovely gift for anyone who would like to wear a symbol of their faith.

I lived in New Delhi several years ago and had occasion to visit the Taj Mahal more than 8 times, taking visitors, etc. The building, of course, is magnificent and looks different depending on the time of day and amount of light. One of my favorite things about it were the gorgeous floral panels inside inlaid with semi-precious stones. It's very dim inside. The guides shine a flashlight on the inlaid stones. The carnelian glows like fire. Since that time, it's been a favorite of mine. These earrings are beautiful and substantial. My husband is going to give them to me for Christmas, so I had to watch while he put them away. I tried them on, and didn't want to give them back, they are so nice. They look amazing on. I know I will get many compliments on them.

I ordered this fetching ring and it arrived quickly and in good order in a wonderful handcrafted box. Vibrant verdant hues of green turquoise (with copper-colored veins) and peridot shine brightly on the finger. The pretty silver work is done in a classic leaf pattern. The ring is lovelier to see (in person) than it appears on the website. This is the perfect ring for springtime (and, yes, green has been named 2017's color of the year).
