🐾🐾 TIPS:
Don't worry if your kitty doesn't take to the hammock right away. While I can't guarantee they will love it, most cats are usually curious, but cautious by nature and once they check it out, it becomes their favorite place. You can entice them with some catnip and/or Silver vine or some of their favorite treats. I don't recommend putting them in it. Depending on your cat's personality, this could turn them off of the hammock, maybe forever. Entice them and play with them but let them figure it out in their own good time.
If you have any questions or problems, please don't hesitate to message me!
🐈⬛ I tested them up to 50 pounds with bricks and it held. I don't recommend quite that much weight, but they will hold the bigger purr-babies or the ones that like to share!
Many of the store bought hammocks just won't hold the weight of even a normal sized cat, never mind a chonky one!!
These are heavy-duty handmade and far superior to the mass produced ones found at major pet supply stores and sites. The straps are marine quality and are doubled and sewn inside and out. Every strap is reinforced at stress points, where the cheaper hammocks always fail.
**The kitty in the video is Glitch. He was an old cat living on the streets when my daughters' rescue took him in. He now lives in the country and has his own catio and indoor space. As you can see he is quite happy these days and very safe. **Just to note, the hammock in the video is one of my first hammocks and is smaller than the ones I make now**
Outdoor HAMMOCK CARE:
**For light cleaning, outdoor fabrics can be sprayed with a hose and hang to dry--Mild soap if needed/NO BLEACH**
**TIPS ON HOW TO HANG: The tighter you make it, the more stress there will be on the stress points/straps, so the heavier the pet, the looser the sag should be. ***
They can go anywhere there are 3 points or 4 points to hook it to. If you have wood instead of wire, you can use eye-hook screws. Your purr-babies can hang in the garden with you on a wire fence corner or with eye screws you can hook them to the corner of a wooden fence or even inside in a favorite corner. You can put two or three in a corner at different heights. They're very versatile and adjustable. If you have any questions, just message me.
