Jason Laret US
Jason discovered the art of glass blowing over 24 years ago following in the footsteps of his great, great grandfather who created artistic glass works in Los Angeles in the 1940’s. Jason was initially introduced to soft glass or furnace glass at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. During this college course he was introduced to borosilicate glass which is typically used to manufacture multi-colored artistic glass pieces, lab equipment, cook wear, etc. He fell in love with soft glass and borosilicate glass and has continued to work with both ever since. He worked at a number of design studios while attending San Marcos State University majoring in Arts and Business. He took art classes specializing in soft glass while obtaining an Associates of Arts Degree and then graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration all while perfecting his art in the glass medium. He attended continuing education classes at the Eugene Glass School in Oregon and the Pilchuck Glass School in Washington studying under the instruction of professionals in the glass industry. He has spent the last 8 years working at a renowned glass studio specializing in soft glass in Southern Oregon. Jason has worked in his own flame working studio for many years. In 2023 he built his own soft glass studio which has always been his dream. It is his passion to create an art form that is enjoyed by all that view it. He continues to perfect his trade in addition to sharing his passion with others.
