"The art that I have made during all these years has brought me a lot of experience, which I love being able to share with many talented people. Some are not specifically dedicated to jewelry, but have other talents, such as carpentry, metalwork, even weaving.
"My name is Ulysses. I am Brazilian, but I have lived in Guatemala for more than ten years with my daughter Nicte, a Novica-featured artisan. When we were living in Brazil, I started creating bamboo-based articles, such as necklaces, rings, and bracelets. My two sons were always involved in the process of all my work. They were very curious and were always with me in the workshop.
"Living in Guatemala, I looked for other alternatives to continue creating. We discovered the beauty of Maya jade and we fell in love with this stone, and so we began to work with it together with silver."
