My name is Jonathan Edwards, born in Accra. My specialization is in collage art. That is putting odds and ends together to form a piece of art. My mum and dad are both alive; and I have 4 siblings. We were all raised in the fear of God, and that has sharpened our lives.
My dad used to be an artist on NOVICA, and so he spoke to me about NOVICA along the line in my quest for acquiring education. My parents started facing financial problems, which led me to drop out of senior secondary school. I then started selling artworks that I produced on the streets and to friends. My dad taught me to do the collage works; and I also conducted my own research to polish up my work.
All the time growing up, my dream has been to be an architect; and so one day I will go back to school. Currently, I use materials such as formica, African print fabrics and plaster board for designing. My inspiration is derived from nature and from my dad.
Now, by God's grace, people from all over appreciate my works thanks to social media. My hope is to wow my customers on the Novica platform with my collage works.
