"Carefully rendered with graphite on paper, Mukti Wibowo's stunning sketch depicts a king conversing with his court on a sunny afternoon in the royal garden. Inspired by the stone relief sculptures on famed Buddhist temple Candi Borobudur, the artist carefully shades each figure, giving the sketch a bas-relief appearance. A black polyester mat complements the drawing's shaded areas perfectly."

“I am the 4th child of 5 siblings. Most of my childhood I spent with playing and reciting; occasionally I also liked fishing with friends. I spent my school days in Sidoarjo City; then I continued my studies in Surabaya City, Faculty of Economics. However, I am more interested in the arts, because I have the freedom to be creative and express ideas and inspiration into works of art.
“I got married in 2005 in Gianyar, and I have 2 sons. After getting married I feel more focused on my life goals. I feel I have to be more responsible for everything.
“Most of my works are inspired by the life around me. All of them have their own challenges, so that each work will feel unique and different. Most of my paintings are themed on temples, reliefs, and traditional markets, as well as daily life in the countryside. The thing that sets my work apart is that it is very characteristic in the details of the workmanship.
“I hope that, by joining Novica, I will be able to get help in marketing my work so that my work can be better known in foreign countries.”
