Oraphat

"My name is Oraphat Phuruangraengphol and I was born on November 9, 1972 in Chachoengsao. I moved to Bangkok when I was 13 years old, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree, majoring in arts communication. I moved again, this time to Chiang Mai and I love it up here. It is a nice area, with a strong cultural and traditional identity.

"I am a joyful person. I like reading, photography, traveling, searching for new knowledge. I am happy to be able to do the things I love, especially creating artworks.

"I believe in Buddhism and adhere to the Thai culture. I like to go to temples and ancient places, and I do merit by giving food alms to Buddhist monks.

"My works and my choice of colors express my imagination and my feelings. Hill tribe kids have their own identity, which I find greatly interesting. That is why I decided to represent them and their identity through my own style and colors. However, I will continue creating what impresses me, developing and improving my style and varying the themes and subjects as time passes."
