From inception to completion, each piece of jewelry is handmade by me with care in my home studio in Louisiana, US.

ABOUT MY PROCESS: My medium is the Tiffany style soft solder stained glass technique combining glass gemstones and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin silver copper and brass all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering I use a soldering iron which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
Care instructions:
To extend the life of your jewelry, do not wear while swimming or showering. To clean and store, use a microfiber cloth to buff/polish and store in an airtight bag away from moisture.

I began making glass jewelry at my dining room table in 2009. Since then, it has wandered its way into boutiques, galleries, magazines, and homes across the country and beyond. I am a self taught jewelry artisan who is endlessly curious and forever chasing new ideas. From the first flicker of a thought to the moment it becomes real, that whole journey is what I love. Every piece of Bayou Glass Arts jewelry is one of a kind and designed and handmade in my home studio. Most pieces begin with real glass, much of which I cut and shape by hand, then frame using a soft solder technique made from tin, copper, and silver. Along the way I work with pressed flowers, dandelion seeds, gemstones, vintage finds, old piano keys, bits of china, and whatever small treasure catches my eye that day.
