About this item

This handmade magnifying glass pendant is one of those little treasures that’s both beautiful and practical. Designed as a small magnifier necklace for women or men, it features a shimmering abalone inset that catches the light with every movement. It’s more than jewelry, it’s a conversation piece and a tool you’ll actually use. This is a newer design I’ve been working on. A smaller magnifier pendant that still has that same solid feel and everyday usefulness as my originals, just in a more compact size.

That’s real abalone up top. Nature brought the shimmer. I just foiled it, soldered it, and gave it a cozy little home. It wears easy, looks good, and feels nice in your hand.

From inception to completion, each piece of jewelry is handmade by me with care in my home studio in Louisiana, US. Practical gift and pretty.

ABOUT MY PROCESS: My medium is the Tiffany style soft solder stained glass technique combining glass gemstones and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin silver copper and brass all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering I use a soldering iron which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
Care instructions:
To extend the life of your jewelry, do not wear while swimming or showering. To clean and store, use a microfiber cloth to buff/polish and store in an airtight bag away from moisture.

Along the way I work with pressed flowers, dandelion seeds, gemstones, vintage finds, old piano keys, bits of china, and whatever small treasure catches my eye that day.
