"Our team is comprised of four people. We are Costa Rican or, as we're commonly called, 'Ticos.' We all grew up in different parts of the country — Poas, Grecia and Cartago — and grew up in families where art and cultured were prized.
"Our friendship goes back to the 1980s. We all love art and we share our religious beliefs, as well as our love for a variety of different cultures.
"The idea to work together came about in 2022 because we all had the same need to find a life that brought us personal satisfaction. We wanted to quit our jobs to have time to devote to some kind of business of our own. We also wanted to be able to do volunteer work to help others.
"Our team is known for quality and creativity, and each of us plays a fundamental role for this project. For example, Gabriel learned to craft bags from his mother, so he has the necessary experience and he's a wonderful artist. Priscilla's expertise is combining colors in our designs and staging the photos. Both Diego and Tatiana use their time to seek new market opportunities, financing, and handle the logistics for exportation.
"We use all kinds of fabrics – canvas, leather and vegan leather, this last recycled from sails and marine textiles that are going to be discarded. This gives us a good option for the growing group of people who don't use products of animal origin and who want to help care for the environment.
"Our designs are crafted by hand and are characterized by their style, where we combine traditional techniques with fine leatherwork and handcrafted details, selecting different materials, colors and textures that make our work exclusive.
"Today, we're so excited. We've dreamed of this moment — when we could share our designs with the world, and be seen in other countries."
