Initially, I wanted to become an architect, but I studied product design and began working on my art thanks to a scholarship that allowed me to learn the craft and later teach it. I started my metalworking project many years ago while pursuing other occupations simultaneously.
For me, art is the most refined way to touch people's hearts with ideas and feelings. I am inspired by nature, people, and the opportunity to express myself and share my inner universe with others.
I use recyclable materials to contribute to environmental preservation through my art, which is linked to my country's history and customs in the sense that metalworking is a local tradition, and I also include pre-Hispanic accents in my designs. Additionally, I always seek to collaborate with talented local artisans to create high-quality and original products.
My friends would describe me as a creative and interesting person, and a perfectionist. I've faced difficult times, like my country's civil war, which forced me to migrate to the United States, and then dealing with gang violence upon returning to El Salvador. Nevertheless, I've also had light-hearted and memorable moments with my daughters. My dreams for the future are leading a simple life surrounded by nature and seeing my daughters thrive.
I am immensely grateful to those who support my work, as it shows their appreciation and sensitivity towards products made with love, creativity and skill. I hope they cherish them for a long time.
