“I learned through online tutorials and self-taught practice. What I am most passionate about in my work is the way in which you can incorporate various craft techniques and take the best from each one. It enthralls me to surprise each one of the people who acquire one of my pieces.
“The most challenging part of each of my pieces is to create the patterns, since the weaving involves a lot of precision, which is a great challenge. But when creating, I forget the challenges and focus on the details that drive me to create the pieces. I regularly use materials such as synthetic nylon thread and natural leather. The thread color and the leather must have coherence so that the design is harmonious and full of elegance.
“I started this project about two years ago, while I was in high school. I decided to create something of my own where I could boost my creativity fluidly and freely. It's challenging to promote your brand and personal touch, but when you see the results, it's all worth it. I want to see my collection of pieces grow, and use new fabrics; as well as reaching more people who enjoy Mexican crafts.”
