"Artisan Charoensri of Thailand creates this ceramic oil warmer. Place a tea light in the arched opening of the base and fragrant oils in the bowl to enjoy gentle scent wafting through your room. Unglazed in natural white, which showcases the clay's natural speckling, the hollow base features a scene of lotus buds and leaves rising above the water. The bowl is a lotus flower with two layers of petals. The exterior of the bowl is unglazed and the interior is glazed with a warm, medium blue.

The artisan describes how she began her journey in ceramics: 'I visited our friend's ceramics factory and I observed each step in the process. Seeing my interest, our friend persuaded me to try this work. Immediately, I began learning from skilled artisans. Finally, I was ready to design our ceramics.'"

I received this two days ago and I am glad I ordered the tea light because it is very cute and dainty. It apx. 3 1/2 inches high, closed on 3 sides with delicate openings for the petals, and the 4th side has an opening to put the tea light. Gives off a delicate light. Thank you.

From the picture on my computer, it looks like this oil warmer is white but it is actually a cream color which does not take away from the prettiness of this warmer. The blue in the center sets it off nicely. It is made very well and so delicate. Thank you.

"I'm Charoensri Chotayanon and I was born in Northern Thailand. Before I became involved with porcelain ceramics, I worked at a hotel for about 20 years while my husband was a building contractor. He had a friend who ran a ceramics factory, which I visited on several occasions and I observed each step in the process, from making molds, casting, decorating and glazing. All required a lot of skill. I found it exciting to watch the artisans and talk to them about their work.
