A favorite of mine year round
This is one of my favorite Christmas decorations. And it is the only one that does not get packed away for most of the year. This is a very attractive tabletop decoration that has a unique charm, I never tire of it.

Born to the Amazons is multiplying!
This nativity is as beautiful and elegant as I thought it would be, and it arrived in perfect condition. However, I received two, in two separate boxes, rather than one. Only one came with a packing slip, and the slip said I ordered one, but that may have referred to one box. I did try to order more than once, but the first two times, in actually making the order I somehow wound up in an order form for UNICEF Canada, and was unable to complete the order or, I thought, pay, since UNICEF Canada only mails in Canada. Have not received my bank statement from that time period so I don't know how many times I actually paid. Will be trying to contact you per instructions on the packing slip but as you see I'm having very odd results so please respond to this e-mail address if a human reads this. No idea what "my star rating" is. MY star rating? or the star rating I give the item?

My 41st creche
I was thrilled with this creche (nativity scene) It is beautifully made and it arrived safely, packaged in lovely paper with bow and a little tiny figure attached! Such attention to detail! I have several other creches from Peru in my collection, but this one is very special and different.

Zymoglyphic Nativity
This nativity is similar to artifacts made by the Remojadas culture, "Classic" period 500 to 800 AD. This group produced figures, similar to my nativity, referred to as Happy Objects. Your artist has produced a terrific nativity group that I am delighted to own. I ordered too many by accident and gave one to a very good friend who is thrilled with it because of it uniqueness and reference to the Remojadas Culture.

Absolutely beautiful!
I don't display this nativity only at Christmas time. I keep it on a side table all year so I can appreciate it's design and beauty.

A new addition to my collection
The set is so beautiful and unique. I had seen it a while back, but it was out-of-stock for many months. I’m so glad I have it. Just as nice as shown in the picture. Very happy with my purchase.
S

Interesting
First of all, the execution of this set is excellent. I had debated about this purchase, just because of the "interesting" style of an Amazonian rainforest tribe. I am glad I made it.
T

wonderful creche figures
Beautifully done, and I will happily add this to my collection

Nativity and wonderful piece of art
Wonderful depiction of the nativity. I enjoy that it incorporates the local culture and artistic skill of the artisan. It can be displayed all during the year, not just at Christmas.

Alberto Aparicio Canchari
Alberto Aparicio Canchari was born in Ayacucho in 1965. A dedicated ceramist, he is inspired by the customs and beliefs of Andean villages. His workshop seems inhabited by half-finished creatures, waiting for him to give them the breath of life.
"I've been a ceramist since I was a child, as my parents taught me the craft. Later, I tried to develop my own pieces with a personal style. My main purpose is giving life to my creations, and I've achieved this through the expressions of their faces, aiming to reflect daily attitudes, Peruvian country scenes, even protests — and I'm satisfied and content. In the workshop I work full-time with my wife.
"Most of our ceramics are hand-molded, as only the weight of the hand can give the right shape. We use clay and simple tools; paints and pigments are blended together to produce the required colors, like that of the skin. All are made to resist high temperatures. The process starts from when we mold the pieces, then we paint them, fire them, and at the end, just polish them.
"I've participated in several fairs and exhibitions, winning first and third prize in the 'Inti Raymi' Contest, 1993, and the second prize in the Credit Bank Contest, 1998. I hope my art will be promoted and appreciated abroad, not only for its commercial value, but also for its cultural background."
