Because I only design, I look for skilled carvers to translate my concepts onto the wood. Having worked with wood crafts for a while, I've learned to personally check the quality of wood and carved creations.

"This art has provided work for a lot of young people in my community. I still keep learning to improve the quality of my creations by attending seminars and exhibitions.

"I'm inspired by the things around me and by everyday life. I dream of one day having a big workshop to be able to help more young people in my community."

"I am Eva Asantewa Amakye and I'm a designer from Accra. My friends say I'm kind-hearted, and I am very serious about my work. I became interested in wood carving while working with artisans. Today, I direct carvers to create my own designs.
