About this item

This ornament is a miniature book with L.M. Montgomery's classic story, "Anne of Green Gables". It contains 18 pages of excerpts from the book.

The hard cover is made to look like an antique book, with paper and card stock components and sprayed with a sealer to preserve the ornament and enhance the vintage texture. A gold satin ribbon serves as a book mark and a loop with which to hang the book on a Christmas tree as an ornament. The book measures 3" x 2.5".

Papuan Lass

I am a lass who grew up in Papua New Guinea, but now I live in Washington where I raise my kids, design, make, write and illustrate. I have been selling my handmade ornaments since 2009, but have only started a handmade.com store this year. My miniature book and scroll Christmas ornaments are inspired by the warmth and wonder of delightful old books in quaint little bookshops. The collection is curated around the themes of the birth of Christ, family, friendship, generosity, kindness and good will.
