About this item

This tiger maple bowl has thin walls, a tapered, undercut rim and a raised foot. The figure on this bowl is also called flame or fiddleback. No matter what you call it, the chatoyant figure is beautiful, especially when you rotate it in the light. I have a friend who owned a molding shop that ran thousands of board feet of lumber every month. When beautiful boards came as part of his orders, he saved them out for me. This bowl is from one of those boards. Food safe, natural, oil finish.
