This is your own listing item.
This quartersawn red oak wooden bowl has ray figure that looks like a school of minnows swimming in circles. This red oak bowl is the color of honey. The quartersawn red oak plank I used to make this bowl was originally purchased in 1994 to make solid oak doors for our new house. Our house is red oak post and beam construction. It would have made beautiful doors but it has made a beautiful bowl instead.
This bowl has an undercut rim and a raised foot.
It has a food safe, natural, oil finish.
10" x 2"
- This bowl was hand turned on a lathe by an artisan
- It is crafted from sustainable responsibly harvested hardwood
- Each piece is handcrafted to showcase the natural beauty of the wood it is made from
- No stains or dyes are used and all items are made with a food safe natural oil finish

My name is Stephen Sanders. I am a maker of wooden bowls, puzzles, cutting boards and other assorted things for over 50 years. My job is to make something I can be proud of and highlight the natural beauty of each piece of wood I work with. Everything in my store I have made by hand in my workshop in rural North Carolina. Most of my wood is locally sourced but I do work with some exotics from South America and Africa.
