This huge spalted maple wooden bowl has lovely coloration, sand, copper, gold, gray/green, brown and black. There is a little bit of ink black transition lines. This bowl also has chatoyant tiger figure. You can see it best when you hold it up to the light and turn it. This is the largest bowl from a four bowl set that was cored from a single very large bowl blank.
The oranges in the bowl in the photo are full sized navel oranges not mini mandarins. The oranges are for scale, not for sale, and will not be shipped with the bowl!

My name is Stephen Sanders. I am a maker of wooden bowls, puzzles, cutting boards and other assorted things for over 50 years. My job is to make something I can be proud of and highlight the natural beauty of each piece of wood I work with. Everything in my store I have made by hand in my workshop in rural North Carolina. Most of my wood is locally sourced but I do work with some exotics from South America and Africa.
