"My name is Govinda and I was born in Celuk Village in 1996. I am the second child of three siblings, and my nickname is Gopi. My father works as a Hindu religious leader and used to be a silver craftsman, while my mother works as a silver designer.
"From a young age, I loved playing with animals and I actively engage in social activities related to animals, such as outreach programs and assisting with rabies vaccinations. During one of my vaccination events at a landfill, I noticed numerous non-environmentally friendly waste bags made from various materials. Inspired by my love for nature, I came up with the idea of creating an eco-friendly bag. That's how I became inspired to create my rattan bag designs that incorporates the silver craft. These bags reflect my upbringing and environmentally friendly values.
"I have participated in pageant events since high school and have won several competitions. One notable event was the 'Bali Teruni Teruni,' a provincial-level pageant competition where I actively showcased the art and culture of my hometown while learning from other regions' art. Through these events, I have built relationships with designers and jewelry masters, expanding my knowledge.
"The most challenging times in my life were during my childhood. I come from a modest background and experienced some discord that shaped my determination to become a better parent in the future. Thanks to my two loving brothers, we have always supported and cared for each other. I firmly believe that as long as I am alive and well, I have the opportunity to strive for a better life. One guiding principle in my life is the teaching of 'Tat Twam Asi,' which means 'I am you, you are me.' It reminds me to treat others as I would like to be treated.
