"Im Diana Padilla and I am originally from León, Guanajuato. I specialize in crafting jewelry with modern Mexican designs using beads, suitable for all occasions. As a child, I wanted to work, so my mother bought me pliers, stones, and other materials to make costume jewelry. I made several bracelets and necklaces and sold them to my grandmother and teachers. From a young age, I have considered myself a creative person with ambition to succeed.

"Since then, I regularly bought stones to make jewelry. A woman taught me how to bead weave many years ago. Over time, through years of trial and error, I perfected my technique and started designing my own shapes and combinations. I handle the entire process, from design and inspiration to samples and budgeting. I enjoy doing the complex wirework.

"I grew up in a dysfunctional and patriarchal family. I am the eldest of three siblings, all of whom are males. They received financial and moral support to complete their higher education. However, as a woman, I did not receive the same support. My family believed that investing in my education was unnecessary because I would eventually get married, and a professional career would serve no purpose. So, I started working at the age of thirteen to cover my educational and personal expenses.

"I want to help more women who, like me, may be studying and need income to pay for their education or even homemakers who want to earn their own income without depending on a man, as is customary in some cities and towns. I would like to showcase my work at artisan bazaars outside the country. I would like to achieve global recognition for my designs and become a representative of Mexican folklore through fashion accessories."
