Wonderful memories of blowing dandelion fluff and making a wishes when we were little. As with my real flower jewelry, I encase real dandelion fluff (seeds) between two oval glass cabochons creating a terrarium of sorts. With this pendant you can take a piece of nature with you wherever you go.

I was recently told that the dandelion is considered the military national flower and is representative of children of parents in the military. It's the plant that puts down roots almost anywhere, unpretentious, survivor of many climates, the roots are strong, it's hardym, upright, and they are ready to fly with the breezes to new adventures. So, befitting of many military brats.

From inception to completion, each piece of jewelry is handmade by me with care in my home studio in Louisiana, USA.

ABOUT MY PROCESS: My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
