J Jane This substantial little turtle is more a fine example of alebrije without having the slightly menacing look of many of them. the detail is amazing, and the expression on its face is wonderful - both knowing and olayful. The colors fit well with current decor while retaining a folk art feel.

Marnie I have purchased three lovely birds from Mr. Morales, and I love them all. They are very carefully painted and look so real the wire legs and feet look real too. You can tell he really likes birds by the way he paints them. I have them all around my apartment, like they are peaking around corners or keeping an eye on the other birds. So cute! What impressed me the most is that given my past experience with this type of ceramics, I was hesitant to order it just because I was afraid it may not make it on the shipping. Well, I had to use my old dissection skills to unwrap it. The packaging was superbly done. Now to the piece, it is as beautiful as it shows in the picture. It is elegant and genuinely "coqueta."
