"My name is Orlando Vasquez and I belong to a fair trade certified family establishment located in Lima, Peru. My family and I founded our workshop in 1983, and it all began with a pressing need for social responsibility in the 80s when many people from the Andes region sought refuge in Lima, escaping the cruelty of terrorism. Even before my workshop was officially established, I initiated several social and artistic projects aimed at promoting Peruvian Folk Art. To this day, I remain dedicated to supporting handmade products created by talented Peruvian artisans.
"For over three decades now, I have been creating a wide array of products, including high-quality knitwear crafted from alpaca yarn, as well as home décor and folk art. I collaborate with a team of local artisans and maintain close partnerships with workshops throughout Peru. I provide them with initial assistance and assist in the creation of the products.
"My mission is centered around creating Peruvian products of the utmost quality while preserving their unique identity. I approach my work with a strong commitment to social responsibility, environmental protection, and the principles of fair trade."
