Attractive, hand-made product
Just as pictured and a very attractive set. I was especially impressed with the packaging. These would make a lovely hostess gift. The wrapping paper, and hand-made decoration were a very special touch to a quality product.

If you ferment , these are a MUST HAVE
This is the second set of these spoons I have bought and I have bought other items from this same artisan. If you ferment vegetables or fruit, you know you cannot use metal spoons once the ferment begins. Most domestic wooden spoons are rough but these are handrubbed, smooth as glass and phenomenal. They are perfect for reaching into a wide mouth or regular mouth jar. I am so impressed

Spooning
I have used these spoons in many ways in the kitchen. I wash and dry them immediately after using them. Gorgeous. They look wonderful in my collection of small and differently sized wooden spoons. I keep them on the counter. Really glad I got them!

Beautiful woodwork
I sent this teak platter to my brother in law for his birthday. He NEVER makes phone calls, but he called me immediately after he received this gift because he was so thrilled with it. Thank you for making beautiful objects that bring others joy.

Add some spice to your meal!
Absolutely perfect gift for a hostess, but will give it to my brother who loves to cook. Three small wooden bowls for spices or condiments accompanied each with its own spoon all displayed on a charming matching tray.

great hostess gift!
Beautiful to gift with your favorite recipe!

lovely knives
I love these hand-made, delicate wooden knives. They are not meant for very heavy use--eg, cutting tough meat--but I use them frequently for less taxing use. They are very pretty and I enjoy putting them on the table for guests or using them myself.

Rian Kusuma
"I'm Kadek Agus Rian Kusuma. I was born in December of 1990 in Bali, where my father is an accomplished wood carver. He has always told me that we cannot obtain any success by doing nothing but, with efforts, nothing is impossible.
"Bali is an island rich in culture and arts of all kinds. But my father gave me the spirit to work in wood like he does. Today, my father has begun crafting furniture while I'm more interested in tableware.
"After I graduated from the university, my father began teaching me the details of running an artisan workshop. I observed artisans through the entire crafting process. There are a number of wood carvers in town and they specialize in sculptures, relief panels, masks and home décor but I wanted to create something different.
"I'm married and we have a daughter. Being a father motivates me to seek more success in the workshop so I can give my wife and daughter a better life. My wife also helps me sell the tableware I create. Two other artisans collaborate with us.
"We work with teak and coconut woods using only manual tools like hand-grinders and lathes. The finishing is done with beeswax to set off the beauty of the natural wood grain."
