"I've always had a penchant for crafting with my hands, creating items for both gifting and selling. Despite a career in the corporate world, I eventually found myself jobless. This juncture was my catalyst for entrepreneurship, and I chose to embark on this journey with my handmade and artisanal creations.
"I started by crafting bracelets from paper beads cut from magazines, and they were a hit. In late 2013, I began selling these bracelets primarily to family and friends. Driven by a desire to offer unique, high-quality products, I sought to differentiate myself from others in the market. I am self-taught, dedicating countless hours to experimentation and trial and error to achieve the desired pieces and production processes. Today, I continue to learn and explore. In the future, I aspire to conduct workshops on specific pieces, teaching techniques that unlock the creativity within others.
"Nature is my muse, particularly the grandeur of trees, leaf shapes, and flowers. Fashion runways also inspire me to adapt their styles using my materials. I work independently, handling design and production. I employ various artisanal techniques, such as hand molding and painting, as well as sewing for textiles, using basic tools like brushes, knitting needles, scissors, pliers, and more. I've even crafted a homemade spindle for spinning newspaper thread.
"My work directly impacts the environment by upcycling materials, giving them new life as jewelry and home décor. I advocate for environmental conservation, urging everyone to practice resource conservation, recycling, and reusing.
"Described as efficient, detail-oriented, and loyal, I've faced numerous challenges in life. One significant moment was my job loss, which, though daunting, prompted me to start my own business with unwavering faith in divine guidance. Overcoming challenges has been a part of my journey. Seeking guidance from the National Commission for Micro and Small Enterprises, allowed me to gain accreditation as an artisan and participate in various events. In 2017, I participated in the National Crafts Award, receiving an honorable mention. I've also won seed capital in two other competitions.
"Beyond crafting, I cherish cooking, creating and experimenting with recipes to share with others. I also appreciate moments of silence, which often provide answers and insights.
"In closing, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to those who choose handmade, artisanal, and eco-friendly products. When you purchase my creations, you acquire a piece of my heart, crafted with love and dedication. Thank you for valuing the work of my hands.
"I also want to express my appreciation to Novica for their support and the opportunities they provide for artisans like myself. Thank you for recognizing and promoting artisanal work."
