“I finish my education in Juwana and then moved to Solo, Central Java, to work in a textile factory. After a while, I came back to Juwana and started to work as a helper for one brass artisan. I learned how to operate hard tools, and then I learned to weld. When I thought I could make my own brass crafts, I decided to quit and create my own brass workshop.
“At first, I tried to make my own designs; designs that no one made before. People loved my designs, so then I marketed my products to Yogyakarta. Today I still supply pieces to Yogyakarta.
“I am married now to a beautiful woman, and thank God, we have been blessed with three daughters. After having three daughters, I realized that I have to work harder now, to provide for my family. I love them. Even though I work harder, it doesn’t feel hard at all. Every day when I see their smiles, it makes me happy.
“I have two helpers that help me to make my designs. We work happily and even joke around to make the work environment less stressful. It is not hard to find the materials, since all of them are available from waste collectors. Almost all of my designs use waste auto parts and recycled metal.
“Now, I have joined Novica as one of the artisans. I hope you can help me promote my brass crafts and improve my sales. Thank you for the chance.”
