“Hello, we are the Flores Family. Since I was a child, I have had an interest in developing this art. It started with my father, Ignacio Flores, who developed a technique based on his knowledge of embossing. I have always been very close to my father, and seeing how he developed this work was when I learned. When there was a need to cover a large order, I helped my father. There I discovered how good I am, even though he required many hours of practice, and knowing the materials and paints.

“Our technique is very versatile. Many designs can be made; we primarily elaborate religious themes and a pre-Hispanic line. In particular, we have a special appreciation for pre-Hispanic paintings, because they are ancient works that originate in Mexico. I like history, and when making each piece I feel connected to my roots.

“A peculiarity is that these pieces must be worked by one person. The person who starts a work must finish it, thus giving it the originality and inspiration of that member of the family. It is very satisfying to see the finished product, and when the client shares what our work looks like in their space.

“We want to remain connected to our roots, and offer a new concept with a touch of modernity to the pieces that were made in ancient cultures. We hope to establish a presence in new spaces, have a profitable business and have well-being in our families.” .
