This is your own listing item.
This colorful rainbow tulip poplar wood bowl has tons of green, some curly transition lines and a swatch of purple. It has a curved taper, undercut rim and a raised foot. Color like this is usually only present in the base of a poplar tree. This bowl came from a large poplar log and was cored from a larger bowl. Coring allows me to get 6-8 bowls from each 12-16” log section. Food safe, natural, oil finish. Its organic form and rich coloration make it both a functional and decorative piece for any dining table or kitchen.
- This bowl was hand turned on a lathe by an artisan
- It is crafted from sustainable responsibly harvested hardwood
- Each piece is handcrafted to showcase the natural beauty of the wood it is made from
- No stains or dyes are used and all items are made with a food safe natural oil finish

My name is Stephen Sanders. I am a maker of wooden bowls, puzzles, cutting boards and other assorted things for over 50 years. My job is to make something I can be proud of and highlight the natural beauty of each piece of wood I work with. Everything in my store I have made by hand in my workshop in rural North Carolina. Most of my wood is locally sourced but I do work with some exotics from South America and Africa.
