Parvez A. Warsi

"Hello, my name is Parvez A Warsi and I was born on August 9, 1954 in the colorful city of Agra, where beauty begins and ends with one of the seven wonders of the world - the Taj Mahal. I have a longstanding relationship with the world of handicrafts. It all started when my ancestors began stitching royal clothing for kings, queens, princes and princesses. As time passed by I got myself into tailoring, though not stitching clothes for the royals but for the general public. Then, I joined my brother-in-law who was into crafting decorative items with embroidered motifs. I began to work with him in 1974 and helped him for almost eight years. In 1982, I started my own workshop of crafting gift items, wall hangings, evening bags, etc., all featuring embroidery work. During this time I was still involved in designing and stitching dresses with embroidered motifs.

"I was personally involved in making the products until recently, for now I am able to offer jobs to other artisans and together we create new ides and designs. It's been a very long journey for me in the field of handicrafts. Every day is a new experience for me and with each experience I learn more about my work and my profession. I have very big dreams as far as my work is concerned.

"I have displayed my products in many exhibitions within and outside India like New York, San Francisco, Germany, Tokyo and Bangkok, and it has altogether been a great experience for me. The response from my customers has been overwhelming. Recognition is one of the most important aspects in this craft, for it means the appreciation of your work and that you've proven your ability. I am proud to mention that the Uttar Pradesh Government has been kind enough to appreciate my works of art, by honoring me with the Small Scale Industry Award. In San Francisco, I also received an Award for Excellence in handicrafts."

Claudia Otherwise I am fully enchanted with the ornaments. Beautiful work. It took me a long while to find out where to get those beaded ornaments from. I bought some similar ornaments 5 years ago in Great Britain in a shop at the airport (Accessorize/Monsoon) - but since then, I never found them again in Europe (Germany). So was lucky finding your company. Thanks as well for the speedy delivery. I did not believe, that my order would arrive before Christmas, but it did. THANKS

I bought these hearts to decorate our home for Valentine's Day. They were so lovely and well-made I have purchased more to give to family members as a symbol of our bond. I have also given them to celebrate a couple's first Christmas together.

These stars are just beautiful! They're well-made and light enough that they won't weigh down my Christmas tree branches. They come in a darling sheer gold drawstring bag, too. And the best part is that they're hand-made!
